getting better, when mixing, do it on the kick drum, it should fall in to place (most of the time)

when making music for DJ, don't mess with the kick drum, all so if you swing the kick, it makes it hard for the DJ to mix it. same goes if you use tape, it will make a swing, i guess because of the tape motor(?) a good example of tape swing is barry manilow- copacabana (original mix), just don't mess with that kick drum

I try to use the kick as a sort of landmark for lining up the samples so they stay on beat. But the tempo isn't always perfect. I'm not sure if that's an mp3 issue, or if I just still have more to learn. Probably both.
