    thanks guyz Serg, the poem speaks about the death of Saint Jean who was decapitated. It's also related to the longest day of the year (summer solstice). It's a canticle. I really like this from him : A throw of the dice will never abolish chance Mallarme is a very esoteric and difficult poet to read. But a fantastic one.
