  • Well, the AI has hit the genre very good imho. But is it magmavander, too? I don't think so.And more important: Where is the fun beside the fun to do an nice experiment? Find the answer.Do musicans still exist? Of course yes, they do. But they get less attention, talent is (even more) reproducable by machines in some sense. We'll see....
  • Yes, we'll see... I think it's not me here. But it's because it seems that you can ask to imitate a real artist. It's a limitation. I've asked for a song in the style of marvin gaye and the answer was that it's not possible. I asked for R'n'B and it created some cool sketch. Strange situation.
  • Sorry I made a mistake : that you can't ask to imitate a real artist not : that you can ask to imitate a real artist.
  • i think its just like a fancy "midi generator" great for a outline.
  • you know a lot of artist are angry about AI, let me give you a different perceptive about AI as a artist, the AI needs music to train, they have deep pockets, this is a better way to use AI, then upgrade your studio. You can not stop the AI, so take advantage of it. As far as making music it not going to change we all make music and we would all so do it if we were not getting pay. all so, am sure we all seen new music technology before, ai is no different (remember buzz was once a new technology.)
  • and for that one person sending me death threats, use your time better.
  • It's not that I am angry. In fact it's more an philosophical question. My person is not affected by AI. I am making my music for my pleasure. But a lot of "little" artists will loose their jobs. It has begun. I see more and more AI pictures to illustrate articles by example. No more artists here. Just describe the picture you want et voila!! It has begun in video game industry too, Electronic Arts announced that they will use massively AI to work faster, better and especially to save money. I think like you that a new way of creation is coming but there will be damages. A lot I think.
  • "and for that one person sending me death threats, use your time better." What happens ?
  • I’ve been thinking about why people are so angry, and I believe it all comes down to money. If you truly love what you’re doing, it shouldn’t matter what AI is or can do.
  • Artists remain 'small' not because of their talent, but because they lack the skill of marketing.
  • The death threats were coming from Buzz chat, probably because of my views on AI. There were thousands upon thousands of them. "I could find a better use for my time, like learning a new skill."
  • I can see that it takes a bit of skill to coax a decent song out of A.I..  It's limited ability relies on clear instructions.   It's still a creative thing, but AI does the heavy lifting
  • @jennyrave, what 'Buzz chat' do you talking about ??
