- Influences: When I was still sucking my thumb, there was a lot of American folk music being played in the house: The Weavers, Peter, Paul and Mary, and Pete Seeger. In my teens, my sister bought a collection of Beatles records, which I essentially stole. My dad loved classical music, and that's what was on the stereo most of the time; I ended up loving Mozart. My mom got me playing the violin, so I played a lot of Bach and Vivaldi. During those formative years, I loved listening to Elton John, Billy Joel, and Olivia Newton John. When I started my own weekend folk rock band, I began to appreciate Indie bands like Guster, The Nields, and Eddie from Ohio, and lesser known musicians like Susan Werner and Suzanne Vega. Today, I love napping to the ambient music of Bassic, and listening to all you Buzztune musicians.
