The tune is kind of inspired by Nimue from the Bernard Cornwell novel about Arthur called, "Winter King" King Arthur if he ever existed was not Christian but rather he would have been a pagan of the druid religion that was common among ancient Britons.

History always comes down to who do you believe? So much of what I was taught in school/childhood is so watered down now with alternate explanations that I decided to just go with "my gut". Not saying you are wrong. Loving the song and leaving it at that.
